Report on The 2014 International Catholic Lay Leadership Forum

SOFF is so pleased to inform you that:

- Catholic Lay Leaders at the 2014 Forum were from 28 diocese/archdiocese
- 65% of those lay leaders at the 2014 Forum were new
- Diocese from every section of the USA were represented
- International Catholic lay leaders traveled from Canada and Europe
- Six diocese from the continent of Africa were represented by leaders
- Those traveling from Africa traveled 12,000 miles or more round trip
- Domestically 90% of participants traveled more than 200 miles to attend
- Six great lay leaders were honored as SOFF 2014 Springtime Ambassadors
- Financial sacrifices made by all traveling some spending $1,500 + per leader
- Workshops were expanded this year with five outstanding expert facilitators
- Number of large groups from diocese this year doubled
- 5% and 10% increases in attendance from varied sections of the USA
- A 5% increase in the number of leaders under the age of 45 participating
- A 50% increase in those lay leaders under the age of 35 participating

     We are most grateful for all those who made this years forum such a wonderful success.  We are especially grateful to our international episcopal advisory board, our major donors and our dear friends and supporters.  Please keep looking at the website for further updates regarding our eighth ecumenical summit in Rome this November and our 4th annual forum next spring.
